Q: Are there any refunds for a 12-months term subscription cancelled early?

A: Refund is only possible if the cancellation falls under the first 7 calendar days cancellation period. Cancellation out of the first 7 calendar days period is not possible and the partner/customer will be liable to pay for the remaining signed term (monthly/12-months/36-months) of the subscription.

Q: What is the first 7 calendar days cancellation period?

A: Under NCE, MS provides the option to cancel the subscription and get a pro-rated refund if done within the first 7 calendar days of ordering/renewing a subscription. This is the only possible window to cancel and get refunded. The pro-rated refund is daily calculated. The first 7 calendar days cancellation period applies to all terms: 1 month, 12-months, 36-months as well as on the renewed subscription.

Q: Any flexibility possible on a 7 calendar days cancellation period?

A: No. This is strictly enforced. If you are unsure of committing for longer terms then the best is to go for a month term.

Q: Can the customer transition between NCE partners within their term?

A: No. This is not possible. The licenses assigned cannot be transferred mid-term to another customer.

Q: Can I add more licenses to a subscription that I have already purchased with any term? What would be the expiry date or the end date of those newly added licenses?

A: Yes and the newly added licenses will be aligned as the same term end of the subscription. For example, You purchased Microsoft 365 E3 subscription - 10 licenses on 01/01/2022 for a 12-months term and you decide to add another 10 licenses on 01/07/2022 then the license expiry date will be aligned to the term end date of subscription which will be 31/12/2022. You will be required to pay for newly added licenses from 01/07/2022 to the end of term which is 31/12/2022 and the billing option can be either monthly or upfront.
